The Story
How Wind View Began
For decades, our family operated an ancestral jewelry and handicraft shop on the ground floor of this historic haveli on Badi Choupad, watching the bustling street life unfold directly before the majestic Palace of Winds.
The spark for Wind View Café came during the filming of the Bollywood movie Shuddh Desi Romance (starring late actor Sushant Singh Rajput and Parineeti Chopra). When film crews constructed a temporary rooftop set on our terrace, the breathtaking eye-level vantage of Hawa Mahal’s 953 honeycomb jharokhas was revealed.
Captivated by that unforgettable angle, founder Deepak Garg transformed the rooftop into a welcoming haven. Today, Wind View Café is Jaipur’s landmark terrace where travelers from all continents pause for steaming cardamom chai, iced brews, and that timeless front-row photograph.
